Great photo of the “new” Coast Road. On your right is the “shrubbery” that now covers where the Hotel D’Italia used to be (further down in the hole). The “old” Coast Road used to turn right just about where the front of the photo is. It used to hug the hillside and dip down into the hole and by-pass the Hotel D’Italia to the front. The old hotel was build circa 1906 and burned down in the mid 1940’s.
